“AKO ang nahihiya kay Boss Henry Vardillo at Boss Ariel Tumangday sa welga ninyo.” With these words, Michelle Ysunza, 31, proved that his loyalty to his employers, and the work that feeds him, knows no boundaries. He reportedly uprooted tents at the strike being staged by the SMV Rock Garden’s union in Quezon City. Then he stabbed one of the picketers in front of the shocked protesters. It was like a deer attacking a pack of angry wolves. Killed was hollow block maker Miguel Ferrer, a resident of Idang St., Sitio Arguardiente in Bgy. Sta. Monica, Quezon City. He was stabbed in the chest allegedly by Ysunza 11:40 p.m. at the picket line in front of the SMV Rock Garden located along Mindanao Avenue Extension in Bgy. Sta. Monica. Police are hunting down Ysunza, a paving blocks fabricator, and resident of Lot 1, Block 165, also on Mindanao Avenue Extension. Investigator PO3 Gregorio Maramag said that union members were holding a picket in front of the company as they have been demanding increase in wages as well as other benefits. On the fateful Sunday night, Ysunza reportedly appeared at the picket line and confronted union president Alex Ferrer, who is also his brother-in-law. However, this Alex Ferrer is not related to Miguel, the slain victim. Ysunza reportedly urged Alex to end the protest action as it was embarrassing to their employers. The suspect then reportedly tried to dismantle the picket line, prompting Alex to stop him. As Ysunza and Alex were wrestling, the suspect supposedly attempted to stab the union president but failed. Alex rushed to seek help from security guards at the nearby Cresta Verde Subdivision. Meanwhile, Ysunza reportedly turned his ire on Miguel and stabbed him in the chest. The suspect fled as the victim fell to the ground and twitched bloodied to his death. |
