16 drug suspects nabbed in Calamba, Sta. Rosa

Operatives of the Calamba PNP arrested 15 drug personalities during an anti-illegal drug operation and confiscated illegal drugs in Purok 7, Bgy. Parian, Calamba City, Monday afternoon.

A report to Acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Joel Pernito by Supt. Albert Tapulao, Calamba police chief, identified the suspects as Paul Atienza, alias Pipoy; Rochelle Quidip, alias Che-che; Jeffrey Cabilitasan, alias Jeff; Danilo San Pablo, alias Aga; Nelson Tripolca, Jona-than Vargas, alias Hapon; Crisanto Valmoria, Sulpicio Tolentino, alias Sol; Elmer Lustre, Shirley Villamia, John Paul Mangubat, Bernardo Llamas, Raymond Resiñada, Rolando Matanguihan and Rommel Esguerra, alias Bong Taba.
 
During the operation, police confiscated 16 small plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance  suspected to be shabu (0.48 gram) with estimated street value of P8,000.
    
Also confiscated were three improvised aluminum tooters, three aluminum strips with shabu residue, three assorted disposable lighters, seven marked P500 bills and three marked P100 bills.
    
In another raid in City of Sta. Rosa, police arrested two suspected drug pushers during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Malitlit Monday night.
    
Supt. Giovanni Martinez, Sta. Rosa City police chief, identified the suspects as Norberto Mangahis, 40, and Alvin Basoy Trinos, 33.
 
Recovered from their possession were suspected shabu (1.01 grams) with a street value of P5,000.
 
The suspects were locked up in jail, facing charges before the City Prosecutor’s Office. 
   
Meanwhile, combined operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB), SWAT, Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) and San Pedro Police Station arrested a notorious member of the “Camerino Group” during the serving of search warrant under “Oplan Paglalansag Omega” in Bgy. San Antonio, San Pedro City, Laguna, the other day.
   
Supt. Harold Depositar, San Pedro City police chief, said  Efren Camerino, of Bgy. San Antonio, was arrested by a team by virtue of search warrants issued by Judge Agripino Morga of Regional Trial Court Branches 29-32 for illegal drugs, carnapping and gun-for-hire activities in Laguna and nearby provinces.
   
At 7:45 a.m. Monday, the operatives seized from the suspect’s possession an Armscor cal. .45 pistol with magazine loaded with nine live ammunition and a black holster.
   
Police also recovered from Camerino 16 small plastic sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
