THE King of Sports 9-ball, winner-take-all tournament gets underway on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the KoS Restobar, G/F Pacific Century Tower, Barangay South Triangle, in Quezon Ave., Quezon City.
At stake is P10,000 in the one-day tournament, which is open only to amateur players,
Entry fee is P500 only.
The 9-ball executive tournament will follow on Nov. 11, 12 and13 for an entry fee of P500.
The first day is scheduled on Nov. 11, followed by the second day on Nov. 12 and the final day on Nov. 13.
Also in the busy KoS calendar are the 10-ball winner-take-all tournament for amateur players on Nov. 16; the 10-ball executive tournament on Nov. 18, 19 and 20; the 9-ball, winner-take-all tournament on Nov. 23 and the 10-ball winner-take-all tournament on Nov. 30.
At stake are cash prizes with 9-ball and 10-ball winner-take-all winners bringing home P10,000.
In the 9-ball and 10-ball executive competitions, at stake are guaranteed cash prize of P20,000 with P10,000 to the champion, P5,000 to the runner-up, P3,000 to the third placer and P2,000 to the fourth placer.
The competitions will start at 7 p.m.
Last month, Darwin Bernadaz defeated Michael Ogame, 9-6, to capture the title in the 10-ball executive tournament.
Aris Almario finished third, while Eliseo Amaro wound up fourth.
Aside from the billiards competitions, KoS offers nightly live performances from select singers.
