THE cities of Bacoor and Imus and the towns of Carmona and Ternate in Cavite have been awarded the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) by the Department of the Interior and Local Goverment (DILG) this year based on the list released by the office.
Mayor Hermino Lindo, of the 4th-class municipality Ternate, was overwhelmed by the award for his town.
Cavite Gov. Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla congratulated this year’s winners.
“Were hoping that this award will motivate para mas lalo po nilang pag-igihin ang serbisyo sa bayan, at magbigay ng inspirasyon sa maganda at maayos na pagpapatakbo ng lokal na pamahalaan,” Remulla said.
Carmona Mayor Dahlia Loyola and her husband Cavite 5th district Rep. Roy Loyola, Bacoor Rep. Edwin “Strike” Revilla, his sister-in-law Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla; Mayor Manny Maliksi and Rep. Alex “AA” Advincula of Imus City are the local power behind the awards they received.
The SGLG assessed each town and city thru local financial housekeeping, disaster preparedness, social protection, environmental protection, business friendliness and competitiveness and law enforcement.
