A 22-year-old woman has filed six counts of rape against a priest before the Manila Police District-Women and Children Protection Section.
The victim, a resident of Tondo, Manila, told prober PO3 Marlyn Remetio that the priest, said to be assigned at a pastoral complex along EDSA in Pasay City, allegedly raped her several times since 2014 in separate places in Manila.
The first rape incident, she claimed, occurned at around 11 p.m. inside the suspect’s parked vehicle in Northbay, Tondo.
The victim was allegedly raped on December 18, 2014 inside the victim’s room in Tondo. The succeeding incidents took place at the Town and Country lodge in Sta. Mesa between January and March 2015; in August of the same year and the latest in October 2016.
The complainant claimed that before the first rape incident, she had sought the priest for advice after she had an argument with her boyfriend.
The incidents were repeated after the priest allegedly threatened her that he would come out with a naked photo of her and a story that she was asking for money in exchange for sex.
