Man held for gun, ammo in Batangas

CAMP Malvar, Batangas -- A 45-year-old man was collared for possession of a gun and ammo in Bgy. Tilambo, Taysan town, on Tuesday.

Acting police director Senior Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag identified the suspect as Edward Chua Go, 45, married, of Bgy. Tilambo, Taysan town.

Cabanag said at 10 a.m. on October 11, elements of the Provincial Intelligence Bureau (PIB), Batangas PPO and Special Weapons and Tactics-Provincial Police Safety Company (SWAT-PPSC) Batangas, led by Senior Insp. Arwin Baby Caimbon, implemented a search warrant against the suspect, who yielded a cal. 9mm pistol, a magazine with 15 live ammunition, a black holster and a firearm license card.
An inventory of all confiscated pieces of evidence was conducted in the presence of Bgy. Kagawad Crispin Mercado, Clave Hornilla and other witnesses, said SPO2 Efren D. Montenegro, who is handling the case.
The suspect and the pieces of evidence were brought to Batangas PPO for proper documentation. He was detained at Batangas PPO lock-up cell.
