PEÑARANDA, Nueva Ecija -- A cable-TV man, said to be a relative of two Nueva Ecija mayors, was attacked by a lone motorcycle-riding gunman on the provincial road in Bgy. Sinasajan, here, last Saturday.

Town police commander Senior Insp. Damaso Feliciano identified the critically-wounded victim as Oliver Bote, 37, married, of Rizal St., Bgy. Padolina, this town.
He is said to be a relative of San Leonardo Mayor Froilan Nagano and General Tinio Mayor Ferdinand Bote.
Bote, a bill collector/installer at Sky Movie Philippines-CATV, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body and face.
Feliciano said the victim was on duty accompanied by co-worker Rogelio Padolina Jr. when the attack occurred at 9:30 a.m.
They were done talking to Efren Caballero, a cable subscriber, regarding his concerns about the cable signal in the area and were about to board their motorcycle when the gunman suddenly appeared and successively shot the victim in the body.
The suspect, who was wearing a bull cap and shades, a dark-colored jacket and shorts, sped away towards San Leonardo on a red Wave-type motorcycle.
Feliciano said the victim was rushed to the Gonzales General Hospital in nearby San Leonardo where he is listed in critical condition.
Recovered at the crime scene were six fired cartridge cases for cal. 9mm pistol.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the attack.
