CITY University of Pasay edged EARIST, 80-79, to close out its campaign on a high note in the 16th NAASCU basketball tournament at the RTU gym.

Jimboy Solero, Janno Penaredondo and Francis Macasil combined for 44 points as the Benedick Martin-mentored Eagles ended the season with back- to-back wins for a 2-11 card.
   
Andreas Cahilig  finished with  23 points for the Red Fox, followed by Dan Natividad with  21 and Bryan Hilario with 11.
   
EARIST finshed last at 1-12.
   
Later, Colegio de  San Lorenzo downed  early  qualifier  St. Clare  College, 77-75.
   
The Griffins leaned on King Astrero free throw off  the  sixth foul of Saints’ big man Steve Fongue  for the win.
   
Despite the loss,  St. Clare finished second with a 9-4 slate.
   
CdSL finished with a 6-7 record.
   
Matthew Gasron is the commisisoner.
