BILLIARDS action returns to King of Sports with the staging of the first 9-ball billiards competition on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the KoS Restobar at the Pacific Century Tower, Quezon Ave., Barangay South Triangle in Quezon City.
The one-day, winner-take-all competition, which is open to all billiards players, offers a total cash prize of P10,000 for an entry fee of P500 only.
Competition proper starts at 6 p.m.
Last Sept. 11-12, Alex Daumar emerged as the champion in the first KoS executive billiards tournament.
Daumar, who owns a billiard table repair shop, defeated a strong field to clinch top honors and the top prize of P10,000.
Julius Orcullo, younger brother of world billiards champion Dennis Orcullo, finished a fighting second and pocketed P5,000.
Businessman Bong Saging clinched third place and P3,000, while architect Nino Ocampo took fourth place and P2,000.
