A DRUG suspect was gunned down while another was critically wounded by armed men who  barged into their house in Pasig City Saturday early morning.

Cornelio Castillo, alias Ompong, was declared dead upon arrival at the Rizal Medical Center (RMC) while Vincent Fernandez , 25, is now undergoing treatment at the same hospital.

Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Romulo Sapitula said the victims were shot inside their house at No. 43 J.B.Miguel St., Bgy. Bambang.

The victims were sleeping when the suspects forcibly entered the house and repeatedly shot them.

According to Myla Avagensa, the slain victim’s sister, she peeped through the window after hearing cries and gunfire and saw two men fleeing while a third man was waiting at a parked motorcycle which they rode to escape.

Police recovered five empty fired shells and deformed slug from unknown caliber.

Castillo was reportedly a known drug pusher and was on the Pasig City’s drug watch list.
