SAN Luis, Batangas -- A 43-year-old construction worker charged with murder was nabbed by authorities in Bgy. Sta. Monica, here, on Sunday.
Acting provincial police director Senior Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag identified the suspect, who has been hiding for several months, as Jimsie Estilloso Galay, alias “Benjor,” single, native of Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro, and presently residing in Bgy. Sta. Monica, this town.
At about 9:10 p.m. on August 28, elements of the San Luis Police Station, led by its police chief Senior Insp. Radam Ramos, conducted an operation which led to the arrest of the murder suspect by virtue of a warrant issued by Acting Presiding Judge Elueterio Larisma Bathan of Regional Trial Court Branch 5, Lemery, Batangas.
The killing of Ernest John Agrigado transpired on May 17, 2015 in Bgy. Sta. Monica, San Luis.
The victim’s mother, Obdula Marco Capuno, filed the complaint with the police against the suspect.
No bail was recommended for the accused who was detained at the police holding cell.
