A 17-year-old student died after falling from the fourth floor of a condominium building in Ermita, Manila, the other day.
SPO2 Bernardo Cayabyab of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said victim Remelyn Saria, of 292 Alapan 2nd, Imus, Cavite, jumped off at around 8:20 a.m. from the Robinsons Place Residency Tower 2 located on Padre Faura Street in Ermita.
She was rushed by friends and condominium guards to Philippine General Hospital (PGH) where she was declared dead at 2:30 p.m. due to injuries in the head and body.
Her friends Pauline Lusuegro, 19, and Ariane Gilboy, 19, told police that the victim has a family problem, particularly with her grandmother with whom she always argues.
After pouring out her problems, the victim cried and then ran away.
Lusuegro said she chased her but no longer found her. They found out later that the victim had fallen off and was already sprawled on the ground.
Lusuegro sought help from the guards who helped her bring the victim to the nearest hospital.
It was learned that the victim and Lusuegro were in the said building to visit Gilboy who lives there.
