TWO men were killed while the live-in partner of one of them was arrested in a drug operation in separate areas in Manila the other night.
SPO4 Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said that in the first operation, killed was Reynaldo Viscaino, 45, while police arrested his partner Erlinda dela Peña, 49, of Rm. 202, Tiaoqui Building, 523 Bustos St., Sta. Cruz, Manila.
It was learned that operatives from the Gandara Police Community Precinct and the Intelligence Division of the MPD-Station 11 jointly conducted the said operation after receiving information that Viscaino had been using his home as a drug den.
When police entered at around 10:30 p.m., they caught Dela Peña repacking shabu and had her arrested. However, Viscaino arrived and with the use of a cal. .38 gun, fired at the direction of the police. PO1 Julius Omolan returned fire and killed Viscaino.
Dela Peña was brought to the precinct where appropriate charges are being readied against her. Recovered by the police at the scene were the gun used against the cops, four sachets containing shabu and paraphernalia for drug use.
In a separate development, a team from the MPD-Station 2 killed a suspect known only through his alias as ‘Bordado’, 35 to 40 years old, dark-skinned, about 5’4” tall and of medium built.
A buy-bust operation was said to have been conducted by the police at 1:14 a.m. on Road 10, Zaragosa St., Tondo, Manila, where PO3 Bernard Bobier posed as a buyer of shabu.
The poseur-buyer was about to buy shabu when the suspect sensed that he was a cop. The suspect pulled out a .45 cal. gun and fired at Bobier who managed to hide, pull out his own gun and then shoot the suspect, hitting him once in the chest.
The suspect was brought to the nearest hospital to no avail.
