A 44-year-old pedicab driver was shot dead by riding-in-tandem members of Deadly Death Squad allegedly out to liquidate suspected drug personalities the other day in Pasay City.

Killed was Arlene Banares, of 738 E. Rodriguez St., Barangay 165, Zone 18, Malibay, Pasay City.

Banares suffered two gunshot wounds in the body and was declared dead on arrival at the Pasay City General Hospital.

Police report showed that Banares was shot in close range twice by RIT gunmen said to be members of DDS.

The report also showed that the incident took place at 10:30 p.m. on Jose St., Malibay, Pasay City, in front of Hauling Services Corporation.

Investigation showed that Banares was on board his pedicab when the RIT-DDS suspects suddenly appeared and for unknown reason shot dead the victim.

Witnesses told police that the suspects immediately sped off towards Maricaban after the shooting leaving the victim sprawled on the ground wounded.

Banares is the seventh victim of extrajudicial execution in Pasay City apparently liquidated due to drug activities for this month alone.
