3 ‘salvaged’ in Navotas

THREE bodies of men believed to be victims of summary execution were recovered in separate places at dawn yesterday in Navotas City.

One of the victims, described as about 25 to 30 years old, wearing boxer short pants and red T-shirt and sporting a “Sputnik” tattoo in the right leg, was discovered at 4:45 a.m. on Road 10, Bgy. North Bay Boulevard North (NBBN).
    
The victim sustained gunshot wounds in the head and neck and his hands were tied with plastic strap behind his back. A plastic sachet containing suspected shabu was found by police on the victim’s body.
    
The second victim, with gunshot wounds in the head and body, wearing white shirt, black short pants and bull cap and with body tattoos, was discovered beside the San Roque Church in Bgy. San Roque at 4:50 a.m.

At around 5:30 a.m., the body of Ernesto Versoza, an alleged drug pusher and resident of Block 38, Lot 13, Phase 1-A, NBBN, was discovered at the corner of C-3 Road and Dalagang Bukid. He was positively identified by his neighbor Dodong Cabillan, 56.
 
Navotas police chief Senior Supt. Dante Novicio said the victim sustained two gunshot wounds in the head and his hands were tied with duck tape.
    
A plastic straw with a piece of cardboard with written words that reads “Pusher ako wag tularan” was looped around the victim’s neck. Eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu were recovered by police on the victim’s body.
