Drug pusher killed in Angeles encounter

ANGELES City -- A suspected drug pusher was killed after he allegedly shot it out with policemen in Bgy. Cutcut, here, last August 5.

Senior Supt. Sidney Villaflor, acting city police director, identified the killed suspect as Raul Carbungco, 41, of 533 Leen St., Bgy. Cutcut.

Chief Insp. Wendel Arinas of Police Station 5 said a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9165 was being served against Carbungco when he drew a gun and fired at the policemen but missed.

The suspect allegedly ran towards a river and tried to shoot again the pursuing policemen, who fired back and hit him, resulting in his death.

Confiscated from Carbungco were a cal. .38 revolver with five live ammunition and a fired cartridge and two plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

In Bgy. Balibago, three men were caught in a pot session at 166 A Santos St. Extension.
   
Chief Insp. Aris Gonzales identified the suspects as Larry Manalo, Jonathan Castillo and Reggie Quitoriano, all residents of this city.
   
Villaflor commended his men for the successful anti-drug operations that led to the death of Carbungco and the arrest of the three suspects.
