HOPE Christian High School blasted San Beda College-Alabang, 25-16, 25-18, recently to stay unbeaten in six games and on top of the premier 17-Under Competitive Division of the Milo-sponsored, Best Center-organized Women’s Volleyball League at the Xavier School gym.
The loss was San Beda’s first in six games and dropped it into a tie at second place with Colegio de San Agustin, which dealt St. Scholastica’s College its third defeat in six days, 25-8, 25-15.
Holy Family School tied St. Scho at 3-3 with a 25-13, 25-13, thumping of winless PWU-JASMS, while St. Paul College-Makati notched its first win in six games via a walk over Immaculate Concepcion Academy.
Other winners were: 17-Under Developmental Division, Group A— Colegio de Sta. Rosa Makati over School of the Holy Spirit, 25-13, 17-25, 25-22; San Antonio de Padua College over Philippine Tiong Se Academy, 25-19, 25-5; and Holy Trinity Academy over La Salle College-Antipolo, 16-25, 25-23, 25-23.
Group B— Assumption-Antipolo over OB Montessori Center-Greenhills, 25-15, 25-17.
Group C— Assumption College over Saint Pedro Poveda College, 25-9, 25-11; San Beda-Alabang over Miriam College, 25-14, 19-25, 25-17; and School of St. Anthony over Immaculate Heart of Mary, 25-15, 25-14.
Group D— Baesa Adventist Academy over St. Theresa’s College, 25-22, 25-20; Espiritu Santo Parochial School over The Seed Montessoru School, 25-18, 25-23; St. James Academy Malabon over Baesa Adventist Academy, 25-11, 25-16; and St. Scholastica’s walked over College over St. James Academy-Malabon.
13-Under, Group A—Holy Family School over Immaculate Heart of Mary College, 25-22, 25-23; and St. Joseph School over Assumption College, 25-19, 25-21.
