SAN Miguel used a blistering third quarter run to rout a winless Saigon side, 85-62, Saturday night in the AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League at the Tanh Binh Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Dalron Johnson had his third double-double of the season with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while fellow import Doug Thomas complemented him with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Beermen.
San Miguel raised its record to 4-2 to tie Westports Malaysia Dragons, who whipped defending champion Chang Thailand Slammers, 106-72, in their home game at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
The Beermen outscored the Heat, 29-15, during that big run in the third period to pull away for good, 67-49.
