A large field of seasoned multi-sport athletes and beginners are expected to flock the dynamic urban environment of Fort Bonifacio Global City for the Pocari Sweat Duathlon on February 25
The event fires off at 5:40 a.m.
Participants will test both their endurance and racing skills by running around Global City for 6 kilometers (three laps), followed by 30 kilometers of cycling (six laps), and the final run segment of 4 kilometers (two laps).
At stake in the BIKEKING-organized event sponsored by Bonifacio Global City, City Government of Taguig, and Bonifacio Estate Services Corporation, are medals for the winners of the individual, age group and team relay categories.
In addition, all race finishers will each receive a commemorative medal.
According to BIKEKING head Raul Cuevas, the limit has already been reached as two hundred and fifty participants have been registered. Among the entries are thirty participants from Team PLDT, easily making it the heavy favorite in the team competition.
The Pocari Sweat Duathlon marks BIKEKING’s first event of 2012. Nine more events will follow throughout the year highlighted by the Tri United and Bike United series, culminating with the iron distance race Timex 226 Bohol Triathlon.
