THE much-awaited goodwill match between Batch 81 and Batch 85 of the Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. High School (ERJHS) will finally comes off the wraps on Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Central Colleges of the Philippines gym in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
The match will serve as part of the three-day celebrations of the 60th founding anniversary of ERJHS, the leading Quezon City public high school, on Feb. 23-25.
Batch 81, which is being supported by Bagong Henerasyon Partylist Rep. Bernadette Herrera and handled by People’s Tonight sports editor Ed Andaya, will lean on Roland Doncillo, Norbert Borromeo, Dindo Nadonga, Joey Pinalas, David David, Celso Capistrano, Rizaldy de la Cruz, George Arrieta, Ronnie Contado, Ed de los Reyes, Jong Marcos, Arnold Nadonga, Let Manasis, Isagani de Leon, Virgilio Venutra and Joel Delfin .
Batch 85, which is managed by Josephine Aldana and playing coach Joseph Realista, will rely on Jun Padua, Ronald Carillo, Lito Acbo, Arnold Lopez, Jaime Lapuz, Bobby Agpao, Oscar Dacanay, Albert Andaya Jr., Jimmy Vargas, David Refuerzo, Manolo Mercado, Lito Morales, Del Maghirang, Raul Manases, Daniel dela Cruz, Bernard Episcope and Memet Coronado.
Batch 81 is also taking part in the two-day basketball and volleyball competitions being organized by ERJHS alumni president Jess Asistin and sports committee head Yeyet Balatbat at the school grounds on Feb. 24-25.
The other participants are Batch 82, Batch 83, Batch 84, Batch 89, Batch 94 and Batch 96.
Yeyet Balatbat is the overall sports director.
