Games to mark ERJHS homecoming


THE Eulogio Rodriguez  Jr. High  School  (ERJHS)  will  celebrate  its   60th   Grand  Alumni Homecoming with a three-day   basketball  and volleyball  competitions  on   Feb. 23-25  at  the  ERJHS quadrangle   in  Mayon Ave., Quezon City.

Aptly  titled  “Magsaya,  Makiisa  at   Maki-Fiesta,  si Yoyong 60 Na”, the  sports  competitions  will serve  as  one of   the   highlights of the three-day celebrations  marking  the  60th  anniversary of  the  founding of the leading  Quezon City  public  high school.

ERJHS Alumni  president Jess Asistin  (Batch 76)  said 11 teams -- seven  in  basketball and four in volleyball -- have  already confirmed  their participation in the  event   aimed at promoting  friendship  and  camaraderie  among ERJHS  graduates.

Asistin   also appointed  Maritess  Balatbat  as  head of the sports  committee.

A  dual   basketball  match  between  Batch  81 and Batch 85, two of the most-sports-orinted groups of the school,  will also  be held  at  the  Philippine  Buddhcare gym in Quezon City as spart of the anniversary elebrations.  

Other activities  lined-up during  the  three-day  fiesta-like celebrations  include  performances by invited guest live bands,  song and dance  contests  for alumni  members,  paligsahan sa  tula, parlor  games and other fun-filled and  family-related   activities.
