Hope Christian HS unscathed in WVL


Hope Christian High School smothered Holy Family School, 25-15, 25-6, to remain at pace of the premier 17-Under Competitive Division of the Best Center-organized Women's Volleyball League over the weekend at the Xavier School gym.

HCHS clinched its fourth straight in as many days while dropping HFS to its second defeat in four games.

But it was San Beda Alabang which gained most with victories over Immaculate Concepcion Academy, 25-9, 25-1; and St. Scholastica's College, 25-17, to trail HCHS with three straight wins in the same number of games.

Colegio San Agustin-Makati, meanwhile, repulsed PWU-JASMS, 25-7, 25-7, for its third wins in four games while dropping its winless victim to its third straight defeat.

Winners in other divisions are:

13-Under--San Beda Alabang over School of St. Anthony, 25-9, 25-20.

17-Under Developmental-- Holy Trinity over Philippine Tiong Se Academy, 25-15, 25-11; San Antonio de Padua College over Colegio se Sta. Rosa-Makati, 25-14, 25-18; and La Salle College-Antipolo, 25-16, 25-21, in Group A.

Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan over St. Joseph School of Fairview, 25-15, 25-13, and again over St. Bridget School, 21-25, 25-16, 25-12; and St. Bridget over OB Montessori Center Greenhills, 25-16, 25-24, in Group B.

San Beda-Alabang over School of St. Anthony, 18-25, 25-23, 25-19; and Assumption College over Immaculate Heart of Mary, 18-25, 25-23, 25-19, in Group C.

St. James Academy over The Seed Montessori, 25-12, 25-8; St. Theresa's College over Espiritu Santo Parochial School, 25-0, 25-0; and St. Scholastica's Manila over Baesa Adventist Academy, 26-24, 25-3, in Group D.
