RESURGENT Far Eastern University seeks a playoff for the last Final Four berth against Adamson today in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The league’s winningest team with 29 titles, the Lady Tamaraws are on track for a return trip to the semifinals after a two-year absence.
“Konting adjustments pa sa inilalaro namin. Crucial ang last three games namin kung saan kami pupuwesto sa Final Four,” said coach Nes Pamilar after FEU’s 26-24, 25-17, 25-17 triumph of hard-luck University of the Philippines to remain in third spot last Sunday.
The match between the Lady Tamaraws and the Lady Falcons is set at 3:30 p.m.
Aside from its bid to claim one of the two remaining semis berths at stake, FEU (7-4) tries to trim down the lead by second-running Ateneo (9-2) in the race for the second ‘twice-to-beat’ slot.
With a 6-5 mark, Adamson is sharing fourth place University of Santo Tomas, which will tangle University of the East in the curtain raiser at 2 p.m.
