JHUN Padua was elected as presdient of the newly-formed Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. High School Batch 85 Sports Club during a meeting at th e Town and Country Subd. in Antipolo City.
Also elected were Ronald Carillo, vice president; Josephine Aldana, secretary; Wewel Cortina-Mercado, treasurer; Oscar Dacanay, auditor; and Lito Acbo as PRO.
The members of the board of directors are Albert Andaya Jr, Janeth Gomez, Racquel Ramos, Lito Morales and Jaime Lapuz, while advisers are Del Maghirang and Sancho Aragon.
Aldana was also named as the manager of the group to be known as 85ers.
The meeting was held after the team’s 60-49 win over Basil Aldana and several members of FEU junior team in an exhibiton match.
The team is currently preparing for its much-awaited goodwill match against ERJHS Batch 81 at Philippine Buddhacare gym in Quezon City.
Last Dec.17, Batch 85 organized a succesfull basketball competition with Blue and Yellow team battling to an 85-all deadlock.
This year, the club is also planning to stage other sports events such as chess, badminton, bowling and volleyball.
Also present during the meeting were Carol Roque, Vicky Velilia, Mhilleth Torres, Bing Pelipco, Jeanette Jimenez, Raul Maneses, Owie Esperida, Amador Acuna, Ferdie Anaya, David Refuerzo and Bobby Agpaoa.
