Two-time World Slasher Cup champion Rey Briones continued to dominate the spotlight in the World Slasher Cup after his entries Spartans Palawan and Spartans Cuyo scored four wins and three points, respectively.
Briones, a businessman from Masbate, will try to win his third crown when he collides with equally undefeated bets in the championship tomorrow at the Big Dome.
Set today at 2 p.m. with more than 100 matches lined up is the finals among Group A standouts led by close friends 2007 WSC solo champ Wilson Ong of Dumaguete, 3-time WSC runner-up Nestor Vendivil of Nueva Ecija and 2011 WSC-2 defending co-champ Rikki Reyes of Laguna. Ong, Vendivil and Reyes founded and now the pillars of the newly-formed Philippine Federation of Gamefowl Breeders.
Hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions, this 50th year anniversary edition of the World Slashers Cup is co-presented by Thunderbird Romoxtyl and Thunderbird Ganador Max with BMeg as minor sponsor.
