MIAMI — LeBron James had 33 points and 10 assists and Chris Bosh scored 30 points as the Miami Heat rallied from a 17-point first half deficit to beat the San Antonio Spurs 120-98.
Mike Miller had 14 points off the bench for the Heat who had a dismal first half and trailed 63-49 at halftime.
“Once we got back to playing defense we were able to turn the game around," James said. "We want to protect our home court. We didn't have a good road trip so to come home after nine days on the road is nice. This is great start for us.”
The win snapped a season-high three game losing streak for Miami who went 2-3 on their road swing. They play eight of their next nine games at home.
Danny Green scored a team high 20 points and Tony Parker finished with 18 points for the Spurs who have lost all five of their games on the road but are a perfect 9-0 at home.
Miami played without star Dwyane Wade who has an injured right ankle. X-rays showed no break but Wade, who turned 30 on Tuesday, is being held out while the sprain heals.
MAGIC 96, BOBCATS 89
Dwight Howard had 25 points and 17 rebounds to lead Orlando to its fifth straight win.
Jameer Nelson scored 17 points, Hedo Turkoglu had 15 and Von Wafer 13 as the Magic won for the 10th time in 12 games.
WARRIORS 105, CAVALIERS 95
David Lee scored a season-high 29 points—13 in the fourth quarter—and Nate Robinson added 17 points, leading Golden State past the road-worn Cavaliers.
Lee scored 7 straight points midway through the final period to help the Warriors pull away from the Cavs, who were coming off a seven-game road trip.
BULLS 118, SUNS 97
Carlos Boozer scored 26 of his season-high 31 points in the first half, leading short-handed Chicago past Phoenix.
Boozer hit 12 of 15 shots in the opening half and scored eight points during a 12-point burst that opened up a 20-point lead for Chicago, which was playing without Derrick Rose for the second straight game because of a sprained left big toe.
ROCKETS 97, PISTONS 80
Samuel Dalembert had 14 points and 12 rebounds, Luis Scola also scored 14 and Houston won its fourth straight.
Kyle Lowry had 13 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Rockets, who outrebounded the Pistons 42-35 to offset 21 turnovers. Houston shot 49 percent (40 of 81) from the field and scored 21 points off 17 offensive rebounds.
NUGGETS 105, BUCKS 95
Corey Brewer scored a season-high 22 points as Denver started its five-game road trip with a win.Brandon Jennings scored 12 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and first-round pick Tobias Harris came off the bench for 14 for the Bucks, who lost for the first time in five home games.
Milwaukee last opened a season with five straight home wins in the 2007-08 season.
JAZZ 108, CLIPPERS 79
Paul Millsap scored 20 points and reserve C.J. Miles added a season-high 19 as Utah got its 16th straight home win against Los Angeles.
The Clippers, who were without star guard Chris Paul for the second straight game because of a hamstring injury, have not won in Salt Lake City since 2003.
