FOUR persons, including two children and a baby, were roasted in a fire that left at least 1,500 families homeless in Quezon City at dawn yesterday.
Authorities identified thtee of the fatalities as Alfred John Alcala, 10-month-old; Ariel Alcala, 7, and Erasma Baflor, 24.
The blaze, which reportedly started at the house of Ronilo Pangatungan, destroyed at least 500 shanties located in Barangay Pinyahan, NIA Road.
It took four hours for firefighters to completely put out the fire.
As of press time, authorities have yet to identify the other victim who was said to be a 10-12-year-old boy.
Authorities placed the damage to property at P7 million.
