A victory by the Stags will give them the first berth in the quarterfinals while the Falcons are gunning for their third win in five games in the season-ending tournament sponsored by Shakey’s Pizza. National U, meanwhile, goes for its third win in four starts as it takes on FEU in the 4 p.m. encounter. Perpetual Help (1-3) and St. Benilde (0-4), on the other hand, tangle in the 2 p.m. opener in a duel of struggling teams in the tournament organized by Sports Vision and backed by Accel, Mikasa and Excelroof. The Lady Bulldogs rebounded from a 0-3 loss to the Falcons with a sweep of the Altas, putting them alongside title contender the Ateneo Eagles. But they will have their hands full against the Lady Tams also out to boost their quarterfinal bid. |
