Games today

2 p.m. - Perpetual Help vs St. Benilde
4 p.m. - National U vs FEU
6 p.m. - Adamson vs SSC-Excelroof

San Sebastian-Excelroof tries to formalize its stint in the quarterfinal round  of the Shakey’s V-League Season 7 second conference as it battles Adamson in  today’s featured match of another triplebill at The Arena in San Juan City.

Unbeaten in four games, the Lady Stags are fancied over the unpredictable Lady  Falcons, who are coming off a shutout loss to the resurgent Far Eastern U Lady  Tams last Sunday after posting back-to-back victories.

Thai import Jeng Bualee, the league’s scoring leader with a 21-hit clip, is  tipped to preside SSC’s attack again with support to come from fellow guest  player Suzanne Roces and mainstays Joy Benito, Melissa Mirasol, Elaine Cruz and  Jennelyn Belen.

The 6 p.m. match will also be a duel between the league’s leading spiking team  against top blocking squad with the Falcons, with 40 kill-blocks after four  games, hoping to neutralize the power-hitting Stags with their solid net  defense.

A victory by the Stags will give them the first berth in the quarterfinals while  the Falcons are gunning for their third win in five games in the season-ending  tournament sponsored by Shakey’s Pizza.

National U, meanwhile, goes for its third win in four starts as it takes on FEU  in the 4 p.m. encounter.

Perpetual Help (1-3) and St. Benilde (0-4), on the other hand, tangle in the 2  p.m. opener in a duel of struggling teams in the tournament organized by Sports  Vision and backed by Accel, Mikasa and Excelroof.

The Lady Bulldogs rebounded from a 0-3 loss to the Falcons with a sweep of the  Altas, putting them alongside title contender the Ateneo Eagles. But they will  have their hands full against the Lady Tams also out to boost their quarterfinal  bid.
