POLICE arrested a man for allegedly raping his 11-year-old mentally-ill granddaughter in Vigan City.

The suspect was identified as Alexander Atendido Tobia, 53, of Bgy. San Julia, Norte, Vigan City.

Reports reaching Camp Crame said the victim, Jackie (not her real name) was accompanied by her mother to the police station to file a complaint against the suspect.

Although they did not elaborate how the raped occurred, medical examination showed that the victim was sexually abused.

Police immediately arrested the suspect. They are now preparing charges against the suspect.
