Sales exec loses car to carnappers

“Pahiram nga ng susi mo.”

With this simple request, armed carjackers took a woman’s car while filling up water in Quezon City Thursday night.

PO3 Honey Besas, investigator of the Quezon City Police District’s Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU), identified the victim as Madonna de Guzman, 32, sales coordinator for Kompressoren, of Block 2, Lot 15, Sierra Verde, Santolan, Pasig City.

De Guzman lost to the armed men her silver model 1995 Honda Civic (UCL-566).

The vehicle is the second Honda Civic stolen in Quezon City this week.

Along with her car, carjackers were able to take P6,000 in cash, her mobile phone, her driver’s license, credit cards and ATM cards that were inside her vehicle.

De Guzman told the police that two men armed with handguns and riding a motorcycle took her car.

Besas learned that the incident took place at around 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Scout Gandia and Scout Torillo Streets in Bgy. Sacred Heart.

The victim recounted that she momentarily parked her car to put in water into her car’s radiator when the suspects suddenly appeared on board a motorcycle.

The victim said the back rider alighted and, at gun point, took her car key from her.

“Sinabi pa nga sa akin kung pwede daw mahiram iyong susi ng kotse ko sabay tutok ng baril sa akin,” she said.

One of the suspects then boarded her car and sped away.

The DACU said on the night of May 10, Emiliano Corazona, 62, also lost his gold 2001 Honda Civic (WTB-109) while it was parked on the fourth floor of Trinoma mall.
