Generals sworn in


TWO more newly-promoted police one-star generals, one of them a woman, yesterday took their oath of office before Philippine National Police chief Director General Raul M. Bacalzo.

The promotion of Chief Superintendents  Lorlie N. Arroyo and Carmelo E. Valmoria was approved by President Benigno C. Aquino III on recommendation of the National Police Commission.

Arroyo, the third female police officer to become a PNP general, is currently the head of the PNP Crime Laboratory.  The two others are now retired Chief Supt. Yolanda P. Tanigue and Chief Supt. Lina C. Sarmiento, the director of the Police Security and Protection Office.

Valmoria, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class 1982, is currently the Chief Directorial Staff of the National Capital Region Police Office. Prior to his entry to the NCRPO, Valmoria was the deputy director of the Police-Community Relations Group.

Bacalzo also swore into office newly-promoted Senior Superintendents Valeriano T. de Leon, Edmund a. Gonzalez, Nickson B. Muksan, Ronaldo E. Olay and Ronaldo Genaro E. Ylagan.
