Bulacan cops nab 2 robbers!


AN alleged robber was arrested by operatives of Malolos City police after he allegedly took several items from a self-employed victim in Basilica Minore, Bgy. Sto. Niño, Sunday afternoon.

In a report to Senior Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr., Bulacan police director, Malolos police chief Supt. David Poklay identified the suspect as Mario Alawid, 34, jobless, of Bgy. Sulaypan, Apalit, Pampanga.

Poklay said Alawid was arrested by his men and members of Bantay Bayan after the victim Aprilita dela Cruz, 51, self-employed, of Blk 3, Lot 20, Hummel Heritage Homes, Bgy. Longos, Malolos City, reported the incident.

The suspect was detained at the Malolos City Police Station.

Meanwhile, Bocaue policemen arrested a 30-year-old widow for stealing an  I-phone 3GS cellphone in Bgy. Turo.

Mendez identified the suspect as Maritess dela Cruz, jobless, of Bgy. San Juan, Balagtas, Bulacan, and the victim as Karla Desirie Francesca Navarro, 24, businesswoman, of 63 Bgy. Binang 1st, Bocaue.

Investigation conducted by Bocaue police disclosed that the victim was fixing her firecrackers display inside her store when the suspect stole her I-phone 3GS cellphone worth P33,000.
