Government agents arrested a 35-year-old woman tagged in the abduction-slaying of a six-year-old girl in Cebu City eight months ago in an operation inside a mall in Mandaluyong City.
NBI Director Magtanggol Gatdula identified the suspect as Bella Ruby Santos, alias “Chloe Santos,” who was tagged in the kidnapping-murder of Ellah Joy Pique last February 8.
“Pique was said to have been abducted while walking home from the Calaojan Elementary School in Minglanilla town. Based on reports, her body was found the following day wrapped in a blanket and stuffed in a plastic bag at the bottom of a cliff in Barili town,” Gatdula said.
Bureau agents arrested Santos inside SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City at around 3 p.m. Friday.
The NBI received a tip from a source several weeks ago that Santos was hiding in Metro Manila eight months after the child’s slaying.
