Couple ran over by vehicle

A couple died after they were run over by a vehicle in Quezon City before dawn yesterday.

Traffic investigator PO1 Anthony Alorro said they have yet to identify the two victims who were riding a Honda Wave Dash motorcycle (4056UI).

Police have yet to check the registration of the motorcycle to determine its owner.

Alorro described the male fatality as between 20 and 30 years old, about 5’5” in height, fair complexioned, and wearing black t-shirt and jeans.

The female companion was described as between 20 and 30 years old, 5’4” in height, fair complexioned, and wore a stripped sleeveless blouse and violet leggings.

Alorro said the victims, who did not wear helmets, died at around 2:15 a.m. in front of Mary the Queen Church on Belfast Avenue in Barangay Pasong Putik.

The investigator noted that the area has no lighting at night and could be the reason why the incident happened.

Alorro said no one saw what kind of vehicle hit the victims.

That morning, the couple were cruising Belfast Avenue from Quirino Highway toward Mindanao Extension.

The motorcycle was believed hit by a vehicle behind them, causing them to fall. The vehicle could have eventually ran over them, Alorro said.
