A Former member of the Northern Police District shot dead a woman inside her apartment  Wednesday night.

Lilibeth dela Cruz, 27, of Tondo, Manila, was declared dead on arrival at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center. The suspect, a certain Allan Tolentino, was allegedly assigned at Caloocan City Police Station.

A report said the incident happened while the victim was sleeping with her lived-in partner, Jonathan Huertazela, allegedly the suspect’s first cousin.

It said Dela Cruz was awakened when she heard somebody was forcibly opening the door. Moments later victim stood behind the door to block it when a gunshot rang out.

“Sabi ko sa inyo, hindi ko kayo titigilan. Wala kayong kwentang kausap,” Tolentino was quoted as saying before he left.

Investigators said a lone gunshot wound in the abdomen caused the victim’s death.

The body of Dela Cruz was brought to Sanctuary Funeral Parlor for further autopsy.
