Fight to go either way — Cotto

LAS VEGAS – One of the few men who had the privilege of fighting Manny Pacquiao and Sugar Shane Mosley believes the 12-round title fight will most likely end in a decision.

“I’m going for a decision, either way,” said Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico on Thursday when he dropped by the media center of the MGM Grand here.

Cotto belongs to a rare list of boxers to have fought Pacquiao and Mosley, along with the now retired Oscar De La Hoya and Antonio Margarito.

The 30-year-old reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) super-welterweight champion, has nothing but high regards for both fighters, both of whom he describes as `tough boxers.’

“It’s a tough fight for both. But when you put two warriors in the same ring, you’re going to watch a war,” stressed Cotto, who was accompanied by close friend Bryan Perez.

Cotto faced Mosley at the Madison Square Garden in New York in 2007 and beat the California native via unanimous decision to retain his WBA welterweight belt.

Two years later at the MGM Grand, he took a severe beating at the hands of Pacquiao who stopped him in the 12th round to wrest the World Boxing Organization (WBO) 147-pound title belt.
