CAMP VICENTE LIM -- The Calabarzon office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced the dismantling of a new drug syndicate in Laguna with the arrest on Tuesday of five suspects that include the son of a provincial board member. Chief Insp. Chris Abrahano, PDEA Calabarzon chief, in his report to PDEA Director General Dionisio Santiago, identified the suspects as Donato Carrillo, Elsa and Jennies Almarez, Apolinar Quibin and James Walter Abad. Donato is the son of Laguna 1st District Board Member Ramon Carrilo, while Abad has been tagged as the principal source of the illegal drugs, Abrahano said. Abrahano told Tonight that they have been monitoring the suspects’ activities for some time now after the agency became aware of the existence of a new source of illegal drugs in Laguna. |
