A CANADIAN national who was said to be suffering from a serious sickness decided to end his life by shooting himself the other day in Davao City.

The victim was identified as Warren Johnson, 64, married and resident of Purok 20, Mana-mana, Bucana, Bgy. 76-A, Davao City.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed the incident occurred inside the house of the victim.

The victim was reportedly last seen roaming along Duterte Extension and went straight to their house.

After a few minutes, residents in the area heard a loud gunshot and when they check on where it came from, they saw the victim lying lifeless and bathed with his own blood.

Investigators said the victim sustained gunshot wound in his head that caused his instant death.

Found beside the victim was his notebook where he wrote about his sickness saying that he was suffering from severe pain in his pancreas.

Police believed that the victim committed suicide due to his sickness.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up investigation to the incident.     Zaida delos Reyes-Palanca
