| Sta. Rosa resident held for gun ban violation |

A RESIDENT of Sta. Rosa City, Laguna was arrested Saturday by the local police for violation of the firearms ban. Police Regional Office 4-A director Chief Supt. Rolando R. Anonuevo identified the suspect as Dennis Garcia,35, a resident of Barangay Malititit. Anonuevo said members of the Sta. Rosa City Police Station arrested the suspect after receiving an information he was poking his rifle at local residents around 7 p.m. last Saturday. An AR-15 automatic rifle with a magazine containing 28 rounds of ammunition was confiscated from the suspect. The records of the rifle with serial number RP091073 is still being verified with the Philippine National Police Firearms and Explosives Division. |
