GENERAL Trias, Cavite – Acting provincial police director Senior Supt. Primitivo Tabujara, Jr. unleashed the HOPE (Honesty, Orderly and Peaceful Elections) local election by organizing peace covenants in every town and city in the province.

The peace pact signing was launched in cooperation with religious groups, NGOs and the local Commission on Elections.

Present were local candidates including reelectionist Mayor Luis “Jon-Jon” Ferrer IV of (Lakas-CMD), mayoral bet Lito Nocon of (Aksyon Demokratiko), and independent bet Francisco Geda, reelectionist Vice Mayor Fernando Campaña (Liberal Party) and challenger and former Cavite Councilor’s League Federation president Jango Grepo of (Partido Magdalo-Nacionalista Party) and 24 candidates for councilor.

Tabujara instructed town police chief Supt. Francisco Evangelista to put up Comelec checkpoints in strategic areas in the locality.

Local Comelec head Armando Vencilao discussed some pointers for the computerized election.
