SECURITY forces clash-ed with a group of New People’s Army guerrillas in Lupon, Davao Oriental last Saturday killing one suspected rebel. Police Regional Office 11 director Chief Supt. Pedro U. Tango said troops recovered two M-16 automatic rifles, two home-made shotguns, a KG rifle with a loaded magazine, five rifle grenades, four improvised landmines, three rolls of electric wire, suspected NPA documents and six blasting caps at the scene. Tango said the slain suspect was with 30 rebels who clashed with troopers in Purok 4, Barangay New Visayas Saturday. |
