CAMP Nakar, Lucena City – A vessel of the Naval Forces Southern Luzon recently seized P1.7 million worth of illegally cut logs in Barangay Dinahican, Infanta, Quezon.

The 400 pieces of hot logs with an estimated volume of 50,000 board feet were believed to have been transshipped from Isabela.

Lt. Gen. Rholand Detabali, chief of the Southern Luzon Command, said personnel of a DF321 fast craft intercepted two motorboats towing the contraband at 11 p.m. The suspects, however, released the hot logs to avoid arrest before they escaped.

The logs were towed to the Naval Detachment Infanta at 3:30 a.m.
