Just for fun

Sorry to say, the word ‘fun” has many connotation of its own, which can mean anything from A to Z.

US Ambassador Harry Thomas was vindicated when he said that tourists come to the Philippines to seek “fun” such as “S”ex.  And he gave a figure of 40 percent of the tourists who come as belonging to that category.

I bet ‘yong mga kalapati na mabababa ang lipad must be tickled to death by the new tourism slogan “It’s more fun in the Philippines.”  Like jumping beans, they must be celebrating.

Atty. Adel Tamano of Tamano Perspective said that if the former first gentleman is well enough to hop on a plane to Hong Kong for treatment, he should be well enough to hop on a car to go to the Senate hearing.

Does Atty. Tamano know if going to the Senate hearing is “fun”?  Maybe he has not experienced a Senate hearing that’s why he does not know what he is talking about. Even all those perfectly healthy persons “invited” can really get sick, short of a heart attack, once put on the witness stand.

For those who’ve experienced it, it’s like being strapped to an electric chair. Kulang na lang for a senator to push the button!

Ang hamon daw ni Secretary Lacierda for the Supreme Court Chief Justice to show his Satememnt of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth before the Senate starts the trial is like asking daw a woman to show her panty before she is raped.

* * *

Somebody texted that the head of the prosecutors, Congressman Neil Tupas, ay hindi lang daw po pala anak ng isang tupa, kundi anak daw po pala ng dalawang tupas.

* * *

If plagiarism is a common practice, as it seems to be, Associate Justice Castillo of the SC must not be impeached by Congress.

Now that “fun” is the name of the game in the Philippines, are Margie Juico and her cohorts just having “fun” filing cases against President Gloria’s appointees based on doctored and manufactured documents?

We who have tasted her wrath are definitely not having fun. That’s unfair, for if the Philippines is truly a “fun” place, why should “fun” be limited only to them?  It should be for all and not only for a few.          Ano sila, sinisuwerte?  “Fun” should be for all Filipinos. As citizens of this country, we also demand our share of “fun”.

With the country’s new tourism slogan, we demand to have the same privilege – now. To deprive us of “fun” is to deny us our right to it.  And the “fun” we want to have is to see all the P-Noy appointees to the PCSO go to hell for letting so many poor patients die.

Until such time, we are not going to have “fun”. Bakit?  Sila lang ba ang mga anak ng Diyos dito sa balat ng lupa called the Philippines? That’s not fair.

* * *

Although I personally favor “Wow Philippines,” but then again what is there to be “wow” about?

I think what is most appropriate is “Bow Wow Philippines,” for we are actually like mad dogs fighting each other.  Don’t you agree?

I think our tourism slogan should be “Only in the Philippines.”

On more serious matters:

Nine million Filipinos (the biggest crowd ever assembled in this country) saw the biggest miracle by the Black Nazarene last Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 on the feast day of the Poong Nazareno.

What they went through was not “fun”.  The devotion to the Black Nazarene of those who participated in the 22-hour procession, through great pain and sacrifice, is the most outstanding outpouring of faith in Christ, Our Lord, so voluntarily given to Him.

Despite the alleged threat from some terrorists, they were not intimidated.  They were ready to die for the King of Kings.

Marami pong salamat sa mga terrorists, if ever they were present, for not harming the millions of innocent people who only wanted to show their faith and love to the Son of God.

We must all respect all religious sects who believe in a Higher Being, one way or another, to save the world and our poor, suffering people.

Let’s stop hurting each other in the name of religion, for we all have one aspiration in life, and that is, to give meaning to eternal life with God for after all, that is what life is all about.

To those who do not believe, they might have the biggest surprise in their afterlife that there is a God after all. But by then, everything would be too late, for there is no more way out and no turning back.

I say: Never lose your spirituality, for that would mean losing the true meaning of life here on earth. Never stop believing in Him. Always do the right thing, for to have any regrets is the most painful thing in life.  Don’t fool yourselves while power lasts.

Viva El Señor!  Viva the Filipino people!

Dibidendo mula sa isang lipunang malaya sa droga

Isang judge sa probinsya na kaibigan ng Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) ang nakapansin na talagang maraming nasasayang na drug-related cases sa mga korte sa buong bansa.
