The Malabon Metropolitan Trial Court ordered the arrest of a businessman who duped a Filipino-Chinese trader with more than P.3 million worth of car spare parts.
Judge Voltaire C. Ventura, of the MTC-National Capital Judicial Region Branch 55, issued the arrest warrant on Anthony Belga last October 18 based on the complaint lodged against him by Johnson Ian Ang, of Bgy. Potrero, Malabon City.
Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) have joined hands in hunting Belga.
Ang said Belga took car spare parts worth P313,753-.45 from his store from September of 2008 to March of 2009.
However, Ang said the five BPI checks that Belga had issued to him as payments for his debts bounced. Since then, Belga did not show up or try to communicate with him.
Belga also left his house at 51 San Jose Norte, Agoo, La Union, to evade arrest.
The court ordered the law enforcers to arrest the suspect.

Read more
