SEVERAL key officials of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) will be reshuffled after the Department of Justice (DOJ) approved the said reassignment, based on the recommendation made by immigration Commissioner Ricardo David, Jr.
Those affected were four of the bureau’s division chiefs as well as four other officials who were reassigned or transferred to other posts.
Ronaldo Ledesma, chair of the BI board of special inquiry (BSI), was named acting alien registration division (ARD) chief while immigration regulation division (IRD) chief Alberto Braganza was designated acting chief of the administrative division vice lawyer Felino Quirante Jr. who was reassigned to the office of the DOJ secretary.
ARD chief Danilo Almeda will take over Braganza’s post as acting IRD chief while lawyer Estanislao Canta, BI-Makati extension office head, will be the acting BSI chair. Edmund Macaraeg, BI-Pasay extension office head, was reassigned to the Makati office.
