The two suspects, who were taken at the event command post in MOA for verification and investigation, were identified as Hansel Hayag and Jonathan Gutierrez.
Police said the two were earlier accosted at 9 a.m. when police noticed the they were roaming around at the event venue and acting suspiciously.
They said a wig was found inside the backpack of one of the suspects when they accosted and subjected them to routine checking.
Hayag told police that he was at the venue hoping that he could sneak in and watch the Miss Universe coronation.
Gutierrez, who failed to present any identification card, told police that he was merely passing-by on his way to the National Bureau of Investigation to get clearance.
National Capital Region Police Office Director Oscar Albayalde said the Miss Universe coronation event was a big success and generally peaceful with no untoward incident.
