A suspected drug personality was killed while three others, including his four-year-old son, were wounded when two unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects shot them on their way home the other day in Balayan, Batangas.

The fatality was identified as Jonelle Badillo Balsimo, 30, ranked number 67 (drug user) on the drug watchlist of Balayan Municipal Police Station (MPS).

Taken to the hospital for treatment were Alexander Rivera Balsimo, 4, Balsimo’s son; and Normita, 58, Balsimos wife, of Bgy. District 9, Balayan; and Edward Arcal Sistona, 36.

Reports said the incident occurred at around 6:40 p.m. in Bgy. 9, Balayan.

Investigators said the victims were walking on their way home when the suspects on board a motorcycle appeared and suddenly shot the victim repeatedly, killing him on the spot and wounding his son, his wife and a resident who was passing in the area.

The report said the victim tried to escape but was chased by the suspects and shot another series of fire.

After the incident, the suspects fled towards unknown direction while the victims were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment but the drug suspect was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician.
