Barangay tanods arrested a 46-year-old American national after allegedly wreaking havoc in front of a barangay hall on Adriatico Street in Manila and cussing at the barangay chairman when he failed to find the one he was looking for.
Manila Police District-General Assignment and Investigation Section (MPD-GAIS) probers said suspect Victor Didenko, of Los Angeles, California, had no permanent address in Manila.
Complainant Robert del Rosario, a barangay tanod, said the incident took place at 11:30 a.m. in front of the barangay hall of Bgy. 669, Zone 262.
The suspect reportedly arrived looking for a certain ‘Ariel” and got angry upon failing to find him.
The suspect then cussed at the barangay tanods present, gave them the dirty finger and created a scene.
Didenko told probers he arrived in the Philippines in September 2016 and lost his valuables to a holdupper.
However, the barangay tanods said Didenko earns money by hanging a sign on him claiming that he had been held up and needed money and then spends his earnings on casinos.
