Masaya at matagumpay ang Christmas Dinner for a Cause ng grupong SPEEd (Society of Entertainment Editors, Inc.) last December 1.

“Allow me to thank you on behalf of the officers and members of the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors, Inc. for joining us tonight to celebrate friendship during this merriest time of the year.

“Since our last Christmas gathering -- the first official event of SPEEd -- in December 2015, I am very happy to share with all of you, as you saw in parts of our video, that the group has gone beyond our fun-filled meetings to make this gathering of editors more meaningful and worthwhile.

“Through your help, we have been able to raise funds that remained intact in the organization’s coffers, and only used to help colleagues in the industry who had been sick or lost a loved one, our first scholar, and, of course, an orphanage in Bulacan, which we have chosen as a continued beneficiary of our projects.

“Like I said last year, SPEEd will go into high gear in 2016, and I am proud to say that we have truly done so, with meaningful goals that have been fueled by genuine friendship. From here on, pabilis nang pabilis pa rin ang pag-arangkada ng SPEEd, with even more exciting projects lined up in 2017. Watch out pa rin kayo sa amin at ’wag sana kayong magsasawang sumuporta.

“Before I end my message tonight, may I thank every single member of SPEEd for genuinely and willingly devoting your precious time to this organization, no matter how difficult our schedules may be, and no matter the odds.

“And, of course, on behalf of my good friends here that make up the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors, Inc., maraming, maraming salamat sa bawat isa sa inyo na nandito ngayong gabi,” mahabang mensahe ni Isah, na mahigit na tatlong dekada nang entertainment editor at kasalukuyan ay dalawang section ang hawak sa The Manila Standard -- Lifestyle and Entertainment.

Chiz at Heart Evangelista, Cong. Vilma Santos, Cong.
