Baker boy found hanging dead from tree

LIPA City, Batangas 

-- A 28-year-old baker committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Bgy. Bulaklakan, here, yesterday afternoon, a police report said Sunday.
   
Case officers PO3 Rodel M. Silva and PO2 Homer Mercado identified the victim as Vincedor Santiago, 28, single, bakery boy, a native of Romblon and presently  residing in Bgy. Pinagtung Ulan, this city.
   
Bgy. Chairman Arnel Lunar informed the Lipa City Police Station thru a telephone call about the incident that occurred at 2:10 p.m.
   
Investigation showed that at around 12 noon on December 11, a farmer identified as Ronito Vidal Mercado, 56, a resident of Bgy. Bulaklakan, was gathering firewood at the forested area when he found the victim hanging lifeless from a tree on a piece of cloth looped around his neck.
   
He immediately informed the barangay officials about the incident.
   
Investigators conducted an ocular investigation at said place along with the family of the victim and confirmed that the incident was purely suicidal possibly due to financial and love problem of the victim.
   
The cadaver of the victim was brought to  Funeraria San Sebastian in the city.
